Single-cell eQTL mapping of human immune cell responses reveals context-specific genetic regulation

Nature Immunology

Genetic variation modulates immune responses, yet the cell-type- and stimulus-specific architecture of this regulation remains incompletely mapped. We performed single-cell eQTL analysis across resting and stimulated human immune cells from a large cohort, identifying thousands of context-dependent regulatory variants that preferentially affect cytokine and activation programs in CD4+ T cells and myeloid populations.
