Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.

Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 9 (SLC2A9) is a ~58 kDa protein. High-capacity urate transporter, which may play a role in the urate reabsorption by proximal tubules. May have a residual high-affinity, low-capacity glucose and fructose transporter activity. Transports urate at rates 45- to 60-fold faster than glucose. Does not transport galactose. May mediate small uptake of adenine but not of other nucleobases.
