Isopentenyl-diphosphate Delta-isomerase 1 (IDI1) is a ~26 kDa protein. Catalyzes the 1,3-allylic rearrangement of the homoallylic substrate isopentenyl (IPP) to its highly electrophilic allylic isomer, dimethylallyl diphosphate (DMAPP).
