背景

Aegyptin-like protein (Ansg-1) is a ~28 kDa protein. Modulates blood feeding of female mosquitoes on vertebrate hosts. Inhibits collagen-induced platelet aggregation in the host via preventing collagen interaction with its ligands: glycoprotein VI and integrin alpha-2/beta-1 (ITGA2/ITGB1). Inhibits collagen-induced increase of Ca(2+) levels in host platelets. Binds to host collagens. Binds Ca(2+).
