背景

Transmembrane protein 201 (TMEM201) is a ~72 kDa protein. Critical regulator of angiogenesis and endothelial cell (EC) migration. Promotes the migration of endothelial cells, which is essential for angiogenesis. Interacts with the linker of nucleoskeleton and cytoskeleton (LINC) complex, which plays a vital role in connecting the cell's cytoskeleton to the nuclear envelope. This interaction is essential for maintaining cellular structure and facilitating the movement of endothelial cells, which is critical for proper vascular development. Involved in nuclear movement during fibroblast polarization and migration.
