背景

PI-PLC X domain-containing protein 2 (PLCXD2) is a ~34 kDa protein. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of inositol from phosphatidylinositol (1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1D-myo-inositol), PI). Could also hydrolyze various multi-phosphorylated derivatives of PI, such as phosphatidylinositol-4,5 bisphosphate (PIP2), releasing inositol-1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and the protein kinase C activator diacylglycerol (DAG), therefore mediating cell signaling (Probable).
