背景

4-aminobutyrate aminotransferase, mitochondrial (ABAT) is a ~56 kDa protein. Catalyzes the conversion of gamma-aminobutyrate and L-beta-aminoisobutyrate to succinate semialdehyde and methylmalonate semialdehyde, respectively. Can also convert delta-aminovalerate and beta-alanine.
