背景

Melanotransferrin (CD228/MELTF) is a ~80 kDa protein. Involved in iron cellular uptake. Seems to be internalized and then recycled back to the cell membrane. Binds a single atom of iron per subunit. Could also bind zinc.

  • Flow Cytometry

    Flow-cytometry using anti-human CD228 antibody.A375 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human CD228 antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HY094107 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
