背景	Interleukin-1 beta (IL1B/IL1F2) is a ~30 kDa protein. Potent pro-inflammatory cytokine. Initially discovered as the major endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production, B-cell activation and antibody production, and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. Promotes Th17 differentiation of T-cells. Synergizes with IL12/interleukin-12 to induce IFNG synthesis from T-helper 1 (Th1) cells. Plays a role in angiogenesis by inducing VEGF production synergistically with TNF and IL6. IL1B is the therapeutic target of canakinumab (Ilaris). 1. Tominaga, K. et al. Flow-cytometry

Flow-cytometry using anti-human IL1B antibody.LPS treated THP-1 cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an anti-human IL1B antibody monoclonal antibody (Catalog # HF943207 ,Green Histogram) at a concentration of 5 ug/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a FITC conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody (Catalog # MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
