背景

CD4+ T cells are central orchestrators of adaptive immunity, providing helper function through cytokine secretion and coordination of B cell, cytotoxic T cell, and macrophage responses. Their functional and activation state is highly sensitive to the isolation method used, making unmanipulated recovery essential for downstream functional assays. The Ichorbio Untouched Human Helper T Cell Isolation Kit purifies human CD4+ T cells from PBMCs via column-free negative (untouched) selection, using a biotinylated antibody cocktail and magnetic beads to label and sequester non-target cells, allowing untouched CD4+ T cells to be recovered directly from the supernatant. This yields untouched CD4+ T cells with purity up to 95.1%, free of surface-bound antibodies or beads and suitable for functional assays requiring non-activated, unmanipulated cells.

CD4 is expressed on helper/inducer T lymphocytes, thymocyte subsets, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells (lower level).
