背景

CD8+ T cells (cytotoxic T lymphocytes) are a key effector subset of adaptive immunity, mediating direct killing of virally infected and tumor cells through recognition of antigen presented on MHC class I. Their cytotoxic function and activation state are highly sensitive to the isolation method used, making unmanipulated recovery essential for downstream functional assays. The Ichorbio Untouched Human CD8+ T Cell Isolation Kit purifies human CD8+ T cells from PBMCs via column-based negative (untouched) selection using a biotinylated antibody cocktail and magnetic beads, depleting non-target cells to yield untouched CD8+ T cells with purity up to 91.9%, free of surface-bound antibodies or bead residues and suitable for cytotoxicity assays and other functional studies requiring non-activated, unmanipulated cells.

CD8 is expressed on cytotoxic/suppressor T lymphocytes, a subset of NK cells, and thymocyte subsets.
