背景

B cells (CD19+) are the primary mediators of humoral immunity, responsible for antibody production, antigen presentation, and immune memory, and their selective depletion enables the enrichment of untouched non-B cell populations for studies where B cell contamination would confound downstream analysis. Removing this population without disturbing the target cells' physiological state is essential for applications such as T cell or NK cell functional assays and immune profiling. The Ichorbio Indirect Human CD19+ B Cell Depletion Kit depletes CD19+ B cells from PBMCs via a column-based indirect magnetic labeling strategy, in which biotin-conjugated CD19 antibodies are bound by anti-biotin magnetic nanobeads and retained in the separation column, allowing untouched non-B cell populations to be recovered in the flow-through, achieving depletion efficiency up to 99.1% (residual B cell proportion of 0.091%), yielding high-purity, untouched target cell populations suitable for downstream functional and immunological studies.

CD19 is expressed on B lymphocytes from the pro-B stage through plasmablasts (downregulated on mature plasma cells); a pan-B-cell marker.
