This is a recombinant marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) CD32a (Fc gamma receptor IIa, FCGR2A; UniProt F7IHM1) protein, produced in human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells to preserve mammalian folding and glycosylation of the immunoglobulin-like ectodomain. It is supplied research-use-only at ultra-low endotoxin (<0.5 EU/mg), making it suited to sensitive binding and cell-based work where endotoxin would confound Fc receptor and innate-immune readouts. As a soluble non-human-primate Fc receptor, it is a purpose-built reagent for characterizing IgG Fc engagement in a translational marmoset model that is increasingly used to bridge rodent and human immunology. Typical applications are label-free and plate-based binding assays, including surface plasmon resonance (SPR), biolayer interferometry (BLI), and ELISA, for measuring antibody Fc affinity, ranking Fc-engineered variants, and cross-species comparison. CD32a, encoded by FCGR2A, is a low-affinity activating receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G. It is a single-pass type I membrane glycoprotein whose extracellular portion comprises two immunoglobulin-like domains that together form the IgG-binding surface. On myeloid and other innate immune cells, including monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, and platelets, CD32a engagement by IgG immune complexes triggers signaling through its cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM), promoting phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, degranulation, and inflammatory mediator release. As an activating counterpart to the inhibitory CD32b, CD32a helps set the threshold for antibody-driven effector responses. Because Fc-gamma receptor biology differs across species, the marmoset ortholog is a valuable tool for translational studies of therapeutic antibody effector function and Fc engineering in a non-human primate context.
