Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Store at 2 to 8°C for frequent use. Store at -20 to -80°C for twelve months from the date of receipt.
Glutamate carboxypeptidase 2 (FOLH1/PSMA) is a ~84 kDa protein. Has both folate hydrolase and N-acetylated-alpha-linked-acidic dipeptidase (NAALADase) activity. Has a preference for tri-alpha-glutamate peptides. In the intestine, required for the uptake of folate. In the brain, modulates excitatory neurotransmission through the hydrolysis of the neuropeptide, N-aceylaspartylglutamate (NAAG), thereby releasing glutamate. Involved in prostate tumor progression.

Flow-cytometry using APC anti-human FOLH1 antibody. LNCAP cells were stained with an irrelevant antibody (Blue Histogram) or an APC anti-human FOLH1 monoclonal antibody (Catalog: HC669036, Yellow Histogram) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.

Untransfected cells (blue Histogram) and Transfected cells (Yellow Histogram) were stained with an anti-human FOLH1 monoclonal antibody (Catalog: HC669036) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L Polyclonal Antibody, FITC (abinScience: MF690414) and cells analysed on a NovoCyte Flow Cytometer.
