| 背景 | Type 3 secretion system translocon protein SctE is a ~41 kDa protein. Component of the type III secretion system (T3SS), also called injectisome, which is used to inject bacterial effector proteins into eukaryotic host cells. YopB/SctE and YopD/SctB are inserted into the host membrane where they form a pore and allow the translocation of effector proteins into the cytosol of target cells. Is an essential virulence determinant. Required for YopE translocation. 1. Neyt, C. et al. (1999) Molecular microbiology 33, 971-81. PMID: 10476031 2. Tardy, F. et al.
